Who we are

StackShip (stackship.app) is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME AND REGISTERED ADDRESS - TO BE ADDED BEFORE LAUNCH] (the “controller”), based in Cyprus. Contact: hello@stackship.app. As an EU-based operator, we follow the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we collect and why

  • Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and reports aggregated page views, and we count clicks on outbound tool links (which tool, which page) without storing IP addresses or identifiers. We do not use advertising trackers or cross-site cookies. Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.
  • Newsletter. If you subscribe, we store your email address (and the IP address used to sign up, for abuse prevention) with our newsletter provider, Buttondown. You confirm by email (double opt-in) and can unsubscribe from any email. Legal basis: your consent.
  • Sponsors. If you buy a sponsored slot, our payment provider processes your payment details (we never see full card numbers), and we receive the listing details you send through our intake form (Tally) or by email. Legal basis: performance of a contract and legal obligations (e.g. bookkeeping).
  • Email. If you email us, we keep the correspondence to respond. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical request data such as IP address and user agent to deliver and secure the site.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your data for automated decision-making.

Processors and transfers

We use Cloudflare (hosting, security and analytics), Buttondown (newsletter), Tally (forms) and a payment provider such as Stripe or Lemon Squeezy. Some of these process data outside the EU; where they do, transfers rely on safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep data

  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
  • Sponsor and billing records: as long as required by tax and accounting law.
  • Emails: up to 2 years after our last exchange, unless needed longer for a legal claim.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, restrict or object to processing, request portability, and withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@stackship.app. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority; in Cyprus, that is the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection.

Cookies

We don't set tracking cookies. Your light/dark theme preference is stored in your browser's local storage and never sent to us.
